About Imega Ventus
Ventus imports and distributes foodservice, commercial and industrial equipment: display coolers, refrigerated display cases, ovens, fryers, dough mixers, coffee machines and much more. With more than 15 years in the HORECA industry, it operates in Chile and Peru, with its own online store and a presence on the main marketplaces in both countries.
The challenge
Buying foodservice equipment isn't an impulse purchase: customers need to know which equipment suits them before they invest.
- Consultative sale: the right equipment depends on the type of business, the space, the volume and the use. Without advice, customers hesitate or leave.
- Broad, technical catalog: hundreds of products with different capacities, power ratings, voltages and dimensions.
- Customers who ask for quotes: many buyers, especially companies, need a formal quote before purchasing.
- Repetitive questions that overload the team: the same questions over and over take time away from the sales that do need a sales rep.
- Demanding after-sales: warranties, technical service and spare parts generate a high volume of inquiries that must reach the right department.
- Two countries, two operations: Chile and Peru each have their own catalogs, terms and tax details.
The solution
Databot implemented an AI assistant connected to Ventus's online stores in Chile and Peru.
- Purchase advisor: it asks about the type of business, the space and the use, and recommends the right equipment from the catalog.
- Connected to the online store: it works on the store's actual VTEX catalog and measures which purchases are completed after the conversation.
- Automatic quote generator: the customer requests a quote in the chat and receives it as a PDF by email, with their details and their company's.
- Organized after-sales: it resolves questions about orders and warranties, and routes technical service and spare parts to the right channel.
- Omnichannel: it serves customers on the web and on WhatsApp, with a dashboard where the Ventus team takes over the conversations that require a sales rep.
- WhatsApp campaigns: the marketing team sends segmented promotions to customers who have already chatted with the assistant.
- Data for decision-making: conversations reveal what customers are looking for and which doubts hold back purchases.
- Adapted to each country: the same assistant operates with the terms, currency and tax details of Chile and of Peru.
